Clean Out Your Closets for a Good Cause!Because we had such a great response last year, we're doing it again! Announcing...The Third Annual Come Together to Free America from Gun Violence Auctionfrom the Freedom States Alliance!
And now, we're doing it again. This Fall, we are going to hold the Third Annual Come Together to Free America from Gun Violence Auction to raise funds for the Freedom States Alliance coalition of groups. All items will be auctioned off at local events held by our affiliate groups or through our online auction. All proceeds from the auction go directly back to the network of 9 state-based groups we work with. These groups are working hard in their communities to reduce the deadly toll of firearms in our society.With over 30,000 gun deaths in the U.S each year, we believe more can and must be done, but we urgently need your help!
We're looking to you for anything you can donate (with a value of $50.00 or more) to be put up for auction. Supporters just like you made a valuable contribution to our auction last year by sending us items like autographed memorabilia, antiques, hotel stays, meals at restaurants, fitness packages, signed books, CDs, and videos, jewelry, theatre and travel tickets, getaway packages-- a poet even donated a custom-written limerick for us to put on the auction block. And this year, we're asking again.HERE'S HOW YOU CAN HELP:. Anything you can donate will be much appreciated. If you have an item of value around the house, such as artwork, jewelry or an antique, that you no longer need, or are willing to purchase an item to donate to us, let us know. Check with your friends and family-- know someone who runs a restaurant or hotel and could donate a meal for two or an overnight stay? Have a season ticket plan with a few extra to donate? Know someone who runs a home business and could donate their products or offer a service? If so, we would love to hear from you!
